The Assets panel is a great help for at least three reasons First, it organizes the elements of your site in a convenient place You don t have to scour the folders in the Site panel for a particular movie, image, or script file Second, it can help you to improve the visual consistency of your site If you check the Colors category of the Assets panel from time to time, for instance, you can make sure that you haven t called for two similar but different shades of red Third, the Assets panel isn t just a convenient list You can drag an element from the Assets panel into the document window, or you can select the item and click the Insert or Apply button at the bottom of the panel Similarly, you can edit an asset by double-clicking it or selecting it and clicking the Edit button, which is the button with the paper-and-pencil icon If you change the location of an asset file, or if you remove a particular asset from your site, you may need to refresh the Asset panel To do so, click the Refresh button at the bottom of the panel Add a frequently used asset to your list of favorites by selecting an asset clicking the Add To Favorites button Review your list of favorite assets by selecting Favorites at the top of the Assets panel and choosing a category from the icons on the left You can change the name of a favorite asset in this view by clicking the name To remove an asset from your favorites, select the asset and click the Remove From Favorites button Switch back to Site view by clicking the Site option at the top of the Assets panel
